VersaEmerge at Uniondale’s Warped Tour

July 18– OMG! A female-fronted rock band that is not Paramore?! And they’re popular! That cannot be! VersaEmerge is indeed a female-fronted band, but the comparisons to Paramore end there.

VersaEmerge, from Port Saint Lucie, Florida, has been making somewhat of a splash lately. Although they have not yet released a full length album, their recent EPs have garnered them some attention– they have played the U.K.’s Give It A Name Festival, and are currently getting a big crowd to watch them on the Ernie Ball Stage of Warped Tour. Infusing synthesizers to a somewhat dark sound, VersaEmerge is unique yet easy to get into.

Sierra Kusterbeck lends her powerful voice to the mix, while Blake Harnage gives a good majority of their songs an equally strong male voice. Blake also shares his talents with the guitar, along with fellow guitarist Jerry Pierce, and drummer Anthony Martone and bassist Devin Ingelido round out the line up.

VersaEmerge has an amazing stage prescence, and their set at Warped Tour gave me an opportunity to experience it first-hand. Sierra is always on the move, but her voice never falters, while the boys of the band display an awesome mix of musicianship. If you get the chance to see VersaEmerge, make sure you do it. You will not regret it.
